Preface – I hope you all have been thinking about your three desires – we will get back to that. : )
As of late, my life has taken a turn for the crazy. (hence the lake of blogging)
To explain – this is pretty much my week.
Tuesday – school
Wednesday – work at job #1 and then school
Thursday – school
Friday – work at job #1. Then drive down to San Diego.
Saturday – work all day at job #2. Go out at night
Sunday – work all day at job #2 and go out.
Monday – work all day at job #2 . Drive home from San Diego
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
San Diego is about 1.5 hours away FYI.
I am not complaining. I love being busy. I love it.
However, just a month ago I was complaining about my lack of hours at job #1 and no way to fill my time in between classes.
And now?
Well my life has been changing at warp speed. Everything is changing. Jobs. People. Everything.
I have no idea where all this change is going to lead. I was given advice, by my mentor, that if it feels good I am on the right track. Well I feel better now than I have felt in quite a while.
Many people travel through life with a planned destination. I have not a clue what mine is. I have a general idea (writing), but other than that…I got nothing.
But do we have to know all the time?
Who made up the five-year plan rule?
Is it possible that if we just keep going keep going keep going...then we will eventually end up where we are supposed to be?
So until then…
Lather Rinse Repeat.
Lather Rinse Repeat.

WB Rach!
Na I dun follow any rules. I just go wherever life takes me.
Great post girl!
Keshi.
It sounds right to me--I mean what you are doing. I don't think you have to have a five year plan or any kind of "plan"...especially if you are happy with what you are doing....that tells you a lot about what you should be doing, which is exactly what you ARE doing...if that makes sense. (lol)
Thanks so much for your visit!
At least you aren't walking around 10 hours every day, trying to take in every single last crazy sight. Granted, I am in Italy, but still ...
And, it's expesnive, man. Just leaving this comment probably cost a Euro.
I don't have a 5 year plan. I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up and I am almost 33.
I think that the person who made the 5 year plan lived in a time when there were not so many options. You usually did what your parents did and it was assumed that you were content.
Now that we live in an age of discontent how can we really plan 5 years ahead. We have so many more opportunities and do you really want to box yourself in?
used to have a five year plan and a ten year plan..didn't work. I have a genreal idea where I'd like to be...I want to spend time with my family enjoy life.
Not so sure what I want to do with my life. At least you have a general idea what you'd like to do with the rest of your life. All else somehow follows, sometimes slow sometimes so fast that you don't even know it happened.
Just be happy becouse those years never come back, so why not live it up?
lol:)
Welcome back, but I didn't know you were gone since I've been gone too....:)
You'll get there, and if it makes you happy when you get there, then it's where you need to be.
that split life between two cities can be a drag. i don't like it. my parents have made a habit out of it over the past few years and it is so much a part of their routine, they just get on with it and enjoy. you'll either get used to the lather,rinse,repeat... or you won't.
Have you ever looked into The Law of Attraction? It has really helped me with identifying business goals. It's also helped me achieve them. It makes order out of chaos. Look it up on the web!
Keshi - same as me :)
OOLOTH - I am happy - that is what matters. thanks for visiting! :)
J - how is Italy?
Rachel - sometimes we just figure it out along the way :)
Jenna - I think a lot of times it does not work because we change our minds so much. Which is ok in my book!
shopgirl - welcome back too!
minijonb - it can be a drag but thankfully it is not lasting very long. the two cities will combine in a couple of months :)
sex and moxie - I am a LOA affocionado (sp?) the mentor I speak of is actually an author that writes books on it. (cant say which one). and one of the things I did learn is if it feels good then you are going in the direction of the "end result". I know what my end result is - just dont know the "how" to get there. But with LOA - the "hows" are "not my domain" :) I love hearing about other people that study that stuff. wooo hoooooo I found another!
No rules girl, live. I know what it's like to feel like you have to have a plan but now i think maybe i should just chill the fuck out and let it all come to me...in a completely non-lazy kinda way of course. You should be a travel writer. I know you're probably like "duh", right! Feeling un-settled is very...un-settling. You'll figure it out.
there is only rule to follow - live to the fullest!! the rest all are just guidelines!!
dont follow rules!!
;-))
It is really cool, but lacks a certain something.
"Lather, rinse, repeat"? Oh the imagery...
I think you can make some serious plans and rules for life as long as they don't get in the way of unforseen opportunities. As you get older you may find that what you planned for and what you desired then is not the same anymore. I do believe it is possible to gogogo and land where you want to be. I think your mentor is right, if you feel right about it, stick with it.
um. i'm still trying to figure out what i'm doing tomorrow. feel better?
what kinda jobs?
in la myself now, tired but cant sleep. been a mess of the blogs lately, as im sure you've seen. yick.
anyway, sounds like you're doing ok. balance can be a key.
There's nothing wrong with being busy. Especially if you're doing something you enjoy. Or working towards something you will enjoy.
Can you tell us what Job #2 is? Or is it a secret? Why all the time spent in my fair city? (Not that you're not welcome - of course you are!)
Change can be invigorating and this all sounds exciting. If it feels right it probably is, for the journey anyway, but hopefully for where it takes you too. And plans are all well and good, but we need to be flexible to adapt to changes in life and for the different things we want over time.
Wow! You must be busy! No blog posts since this one?
